Less paperwork around the practice of law
We automate the repeatable work around your matters: intake, document assembly, deadline reminders and client updates. An attorney or paralegal reviews everything before it leaves the firm.
Where small firms lose hours
Inquiries wait
A new inquiry sits in an inbox until someone has a free minute. By then the person has called another firm.
The same facts get typed three times
From the intake note to the case system to the first draft, with a chance of error at each step.
Documents start from the last similar file
Copy, find and replace the names, hope nothing from the previous client is left behind.
What we build for law firms
Each workflow is built on its own, so you can start with one and add more later.
Client intake
- Today
- Inquiries arrive by phone, email and web form. Someone retypes them into the case system.
- With 4done
- Every channel feeds one intake form. Acknowledgments go out automatically, and a matter record is created for review.
Document assembly
- Today
- Engagement letters, demand letters and routine pleadings start as a copy of an old file.
- With 4done
- Intake answers fill your own approved templates into a clean draft. The attorney reviews and edits.
Deadlines and reminders
- Today
- Key dates live in a calendar someone has to remember to update.
- With 4done
- Dates entered once create calendar entries and reminders for the right people, with a visible list of what is coming up.
Client updates and document requests
- Today
- Staff write the same status email and chase the same missing documents by hand.
- With 4done
- Status messages and document checklists go out at the points you choose, with polite reminders until the item arrives.
Billing preparation
- Today
- Time entries and expenses are gathered at month end under deadline.
- With 4done
- Time and expense summaries are prepared per matter for review. Trust accounting stays in the system built for it, and we do not handle client funds.
Built for confidentiality and supervision
Automation should lower risk, not add it. This is how we work.
- A person reviews every client-facing message, document and filing before it goes out.
- We work inside accounts you own, with the least access needed, and remove our access when the project ends.
- AI is optional. Where it helps (for example summarizing an intake form or drafting from your template) we use it under review, and you can choose none.
- We are a technology provider, not a law firm. We do not give legal advice. Rules on technology, AI and outside vendors differ by state bar, and your firm stays responsible for compliance.
How a project runs
Free call
You describe the task. We ask what tools you use and what must never go wrong.
Fixed quote
A written scope, price and timeline. No hourly surprises.
Build and test
We build in your accounts and test with sample data. You review before anything goes live.
Handover
Documentation, a walkthrough and, if you want it, a monthly care plan.
Questions we hear
Which practice management tools do you work with?
We build around the tools you already use, where they offer integrations, an API or exports. Tell us what you use on the call and we will confirm what is possible before quoting.
Do you use AI on client matters?
Only if you want it, and only with human review. Many firms start with no AI at all: forms, templates and reminders already save a lot of time.
Will you see our client files?
We design to see as little as possible. Where we need sample documents to build a template, we agree on what is shared first, and we can work from redacted examples.
How long does a first workflow take?
A single workflow such as intake or document assembly usually takes a few weeks, depending on how many systems it touches. We give a timeline in the quote.
What does it cost?
Every project has a fixed price quoted after a free call. See how we price on the pricing page.
